Money Saving Expert Martin Lewis, 48, took to Twitter to reveal to his 1,100,000 followers that he is going on ‘holiday’. However, fans didn’t have to worry about the presenter and his family breaking government restrictions, as Martin revealed their holiday was a one night stay “in the spare room.”
Martin took to social media to announce that he is taking a short break from the platform over half term.
The money saving expert tweeted to his followers: “That’s all folks!
“It’s half term, so I’m signing off work & social media for family time, til my show Thur [Thursday].
Martin continued his tweet, jokingly admitting that he was sharing his “holiday” plans with his followers before he was reported for breaching rules.

One wrote: “Are you going to build a tent with torches? Great fun together.”
While another quipped: “Hope you ordered the turn down service with a chocolate on the pillow she would love that”.
Martin has daughter Sapphire, eight, with wife Lara Lewington, 41 who he married in 2009.
A few days ago it was reportedly revealed that the finance expert and his wife invested £12.5m in an impressive property portfolio.
