Good Morning Britain star Kate Garraway, 53, recently returned to work to present her Smooth Radio show, while her husband Derek Draper continues to battle on in hospital after contracting coronavirus in March. Today, the ITV presenter detailed how she had a “sore eye”, which she said is “really hurting”.
In view of her 943,000 Instagram followers, Kate shared a video of herself talking about her injury, as she admitted she had no idea why her eye hurts.
The host, who was wearing her glasses today, began by announcing: “Morning, am I looking clever?
“I always think when I wear my glasses I look a bit more brainy.”
Kate went on to say: “If you’re listening to me on Smooth Radio this morning you’ll know that nothing has actually changed.
One fan, who was delighted to listen to Kate’s show, wrote: “Thank you, you got me through my ironing this morning.”
Another went on to share: “You ARE very clever, bright, beautiful, courageous, brave, funny, amazing, strong and a heart of gold.”
A third remarked: “Hope you’re doing well, yourself, your husband and family are always in my thoughts, good wishes lol from Ireland.”
Kate returned to the airwaves last week for the first time since taking a leave of absence from her radio show back in March, after her husband Derek was admitted to intensive care.
