Jennifer Aniston, 50, uploaded a photo of a friend in hospital alongside a second snap which included her and her best friend Courtney Cox urging people to wear masks. The warning from the Hollywood actress comes after some Americans protested against wearing masks amid the coronavirus pandemic.
In the first photo, her friend Kevin is seen lying in a hospital bed with wires hooked up to him while his eyes are closed.
Underneath the photos, Jennifer wrote: “This our friend Kevin. Perfectly healthy, not one underlying health issue. This is COVID-19. This is real.
“We can’t be so naive to think we can outrun this… if we want this to end, and we do, right? The one step we can take is PLEASE #wearadamnmask.”
“Just think about those who’ve already suffered through this horrible virus,” she added.
“And so many lives have been taken by this virus because we aren’t doing enough.”
Yesterday, the UK held its first “anti-mask protest” after the Government said it will become mandatory to wear a mask in shops from July the 24th.
In Hyde Park, a protester told Sky News that being made to wear a mask from this Friday is “absolutely ludicrous and does not make scientific sense”.
From the 24th of July those seen not wearing a mask while in shops and supermarkets could be fined up to £100.
